Programs
Langford Aboriginal Association Inc (LAA) is a not for profit Aboriginal community controlled organisation that provides activities for Aboriginal young people, other individuals and families. Non-Aboriginal people are also welcome. The management committee is made up of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal community members. New members are welcome to attend the AGM, please contact us for further information. Membership is $2 per person.
Our groups and activities include:
- First Click - free basic computer training
- Healthy Living – guest speakers on a range of topics including drugs asthma and cancer
- Noongar Language – learn more of YOUR language
- Best Start – parents 0-5 year olds. Fun activities for you and your child
- Senior Girls Group – attending high school year 8-12
- Junior Boys Group – attending primary school year 4-7
- Women’s Group – activities to increase your skills and time out for yourself. Learn to crochet, draw, paint, relax and have fun
- Junior Girls Group – attending primary school year 4-7
- Walking Group – meet at netball car park on Wingrove
- Men’s Group – join other men for a yarn and get together to talk about issues affecting you and your family
COST
Programs incur a small fee to cover tea / coffee with biscuits and use of premises – $10 per term.
